Trending Case Law – a new feature

As a bankruptcy attorney in Mount Vernon, IL for over 20 years, I read through and analyze court rulings throughout the country. I work in the Southern District of Illinois, and although a case in another part of the US would have no binding affect here, “foreign” cases can be a bellwether for things to come. If a case is particularly well-reasoned, it can be in the forefront of an issue the court has yet to hear.

I will be examining new cases throughout the year on this blog and my Facebook page, Twitter, etc. I hope you enjoy reading it and look forward to discussing the various issues with you.
